Please note: The State Board of Education has released new regulations for certification that will affect students seeking certification AFTER January 1, 2013. To comply with the current regulations stated in this website, current students or students starting the program in the academic year 2008-09 need to make sure that they can complete the program and apply for certification BEFORE January 1, 2013. The Department of Education at Saint Joseph’s University is making changes to comply with these new certification regulations and, therefore, additional program requirements may be required during the 2008-09 academic year.
Although this is a non-degree granting certification program, students can pursue the Teacher Intern Certification as a part of the MS in Education with Level I Certification in Elementary Education.
