Dr. Templeton teaches courses in development, cognition, and learning, schools in society, and writing in the classroom. He was a thirty-five year public high school English teacher before becoming a full time professor here in 2005. In 2007 Dr. Templeton participated in an OECD sponsored conference in Copenhagen, Denmark on the relationship between brain research and  the development of literacy.
